Cady Shaye Poorman
My interest and passion for creating art has been engrained in me since I can remember. I grew up in Utah and received my Bachelor's Degree in art, with and emphasis in photography. Photography will always be my first love, but over the years I have found myself drawn to the process of working with my hands with more tangible materials. I have dabbled in dozens of different mediums from pottery, to printmaking, to painting but the two art forms that have stuck with me the most are embroidery and stained glass. My grandmother was a talented embroiderist and my grandfather a stained glass artist, whether that was a conscious choice to follow in their footsteps or a subconscious one, those are the two mediums that I have found myself the most drawn to and invested in. Using my creativity to make art and share it with others is when I truly feel the most aligned with my soul's purpose. It brings me more fulfillment than anything else. I hope you enjoy by work and can feel the passion and positivity in each piece.
